About 2 weeks before the event I was contacted by a friend who was overwhelmed with a project. Apparently a few vendors had dropped out last minute and the event required a new partner. With only 14 days to go, I was able to find a fashion-show partner, a camera crew, TV Host, and press. With the help of industry friends Sinclair Jones, Mike Dote and Lucy Norris, we we're able to pull off a miracle at Maserati.
On July 1st, TOTO IMAGES in partnership with Gotham Business Network organized a swanky benefit, blending luxury lifestyle and New York fashion. The event featured appetizers by an Iron Chef, signature cocktails by a local distillery, a silent auction and chic pop-up shops from various designers. Proceeds from the pop-up shops and the silent auction went to benefit DressForSuccess.org - a wonderful organization dedicated to assist women in need. The Maserati showroom resembled a movie scene from Fast and Furious; models, luxury cars, energetic music and camera crews.
Guests included Yeshe Pfeiffer, an actress on AMC Series “Making of the Mob", Audrey Froggatt Fashion Photographer, Carey Reilly TV personality and host, Delaina Dixon TV host from VH1's "The Gossip Table" and numerous others from entertainment and media.
Although a last minute project, it goes to show how resourcefulness, a few good friends and a will to achieve, can really make a difference.
